Micro:Bits in the Elementary Classroom

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Micro:Bits are low cost multi-use microcomputers, packed with options for coding and creativity. I will share how they can be utilized in almost every content area with students as young as 2nd grade. This session will include hands on activities to try and to use right away. At about $20-$25 each, Microbits are easy to acquire through grants or other funding. The main coding site has a built in emulator that allows students to test their code before loading onto the device. We will explore the basics and share some of the many ways to challenge your students in coding.
